Men's Interclub

Our 4 men's interclub teams all played on Saturday 8 March.

Division 2 :

Div 2 played at home against Masterton, the division leader, winning a respectable 8.5 points to 6.5. We played in perfect golfing conditions, on our course that gets better and better each week. Player of the day was Trevor Brown with a good win. Dominic Milicich and Deane Milne got their full 3 points, somehow winning their four ball 7/5. Tane & Jon also won their singles, with Jon and William the other four ball winners. Div 2 has risen from the bottom and now sits 4th on the table, great work guys. On the 22nd we travel over the hill to Martinborough

Division 5 :

Div 5 paid a visit to a very busy Judgeford course and came away with 5.5 points, on a perfect day for golf. Singles wins on the day to Graham Black & Warren Stanton (who also won their 4 Ball) & Russell Turner, and a good 4 Ball win to Richard Potter & Jake Troughton. A debut on the day for new club member Nick Staite, who is a welcome addition to the interclub scene. We're still well in contention at 1.5 points behind Boulcott. Next up on 22 March, a trip to Carterton who are only 2.5 points behind us.

Division 9 :

Div 9 had a respectable 9.5 to 5.5 loss away at Martinborough

Division 12

Division 12 played at home to Manor Park and secured a win, 8.5 to 6.5. No wind at all at Karori gave the opposition an unusual advantage, making our 'win' not as convincing as we had hoped for.

There were some great individual match scores from Dave Peterson, with a 8/6 win and Mike Pike, with 7/6 win. Manor Park played our course really well and everyone reported enjoying their game. Thanks to Couper and Moira for providing a lovely lunch.

Junior Interclub

18 Hole Pennants :

On Sunday we hosted the 10 teams in the 18 hole Pennants competition.  Some great young golfers on show - oh those swings!

Our team had a 2 all tie with Boulcotts Farm and now sit mid table overall.

9 Hole Pennants :

On Sunday the 9 hole juniors played their third game of the season against Judgeford at Boulcott’s Farm. In lovely Autumn weather,  the team consisting of Jack Boyle, Henry Allwood, Will Lyall and Elliot Pegg, played some great golf, but came across a Judgeford team that shot some good scores on the day. The team came away with a 5-1 loss, with Will winning his singles.

Ball up a Tree

If your ball finishes up in a tree - one of our lovely grabby macrocarpa trees for example there are a number of options available.

If you can see the ball and positively identify then you can take penalty relief under Rule 19 (unplayable ball). This incurs a 1 stroke penalty.

If you can see the ball but not identify it as your ball, the ball is considered lost and you must take a stroke and distance penalty.
