Good morning golfers
Here is an important announcement from Denise Marten our Womens' Club Captain for our women members.
"The women's club championships for the "Silver" division has not been held since 2021 and there has not been a competition for the "Bronze" division since 2017.
I am looking to rectify that for 2024.
I am looking to hold a one day stroke play competition in October/November which would enable the winners to participate in the Champion of Champions contest in late November.
I am then looking at scheduling a match play competition to determine our Bronze and Silver Champions in March 2025.
The dates will be flexible and games organised by the players involved. Summer is a much more attractive time for golf when the weather is fine and the course is dry.
We are slowly building up our womens membership and I will be encouraging as many as possible playing on the same day.
I will be putting in more details in the Captain's Corner/Friday Flash as things get organised.
