News

As reported earlier in the week we welcomed new manager Keith Kincaid on Monday please take some time to introduce yourself to Keith.

This weekend is pretty much back to normal with Club Day and the Monthly Medal on Sunday.

A couple of notes on the Monthly Medal -

A Medal competition means this is a stroke play event and you must hole out, it also means no pick ups  if you are unfortunate enough to score a 7,8,9 or more on your card you must record that score.

Practice

Please don"t practice on the Golf Course, we have noticed a recent increase and damage to the course.  The photo below shows 12 shots from the same area, none of the divots had been replaced or filled with sand. Please replace you divots, if you cant please fill with sand.

We have a large practice area and encourage Members to use it.

And at Karori

The nine hole ladies enjoyed a lovely day on Tuesday for playing their club championships alongside a stableford competition. Congratulations to Sue Mclaren, Lindsey Pickering, Hilary Newby and Lauren Robey who are through to the semi finals. The stableford competition was won by Trish Titcombe.

Wednesday Club

The drizzle had cleared when 16 golfers started a Stableford competition and enjoyed wonderful weather throughout the round. Martin was the winner on 36 with Michael Cox second on 35. Balls were given down to 33. There were no twos and Martin was nearest the pin (again) and paid the pig. The cash raffle was won by Michael Cox with Alex second. The fine red wine raffle was drawn and Ossie took the wine with Victor getting the golf balls

Twilight

The second round of Twilight for the season saw 18 golfers compete for the prizes!  Martin Binks and Matthew Everett earned a $5 voucher with 16 stablefords. John Stubbe and

Terry Mc Alister won $10 for a joint 3rd position, with 17. Graeme Couper not only came second with 19 stablefords, winning a $15 voucher, but won golf balls for the NTP and the only 'two' of the night! Ossie took first place with 20 stablefords and a $20 voucher!

Another fun night with lovely food and a great atmosphere. Come along next week!!

Thank you to all those that are booking and coming into the clubhouse (when its open) to check in.

Please can I ask that you ALL book a tee slot online or by phoning the Club on (04) 476-7337 or emailing the club on clubhouse@karorigolf.co.nz .
